Park So Dam's new movie "Special Cargo" unveils a new trailer featuring the lead star's diversity as an actress.
From her mysterious character in "Parasite," the 30-year-old South Korean beauty surprises fans in a never-before-seen role.
'Special Cargo' Trailer Displays Park So Dam's Drifting Skills
The actress took on the role of Eun Ha, who is known for her impressive driving skills and has a 100 percent success rate of delivering special packages.
In a 44-second trailer, the video starts with a voiceover asking if the person could pull off a significant task.
"Where's the destination? You can think of it as she'll deliver anything that the postal service won't. She's not picky about the package or the method. It's a type of special delivery."
This was followed by a scene where Eun Ha prepares the car for a thrilling ride.
She then encounters the group of Kyung Pil, played by Song Sae Byuk. He is a corrupt police officer whose second job is a gang leader.
After a series of car chase and fight scenes, Eun Ha jumps from a building with a phrase flashed on the screen.
"100 percent success rate, special delivery driver Park So Dam. This January 2022, the most thrilling special delivery will begin."
Helmed and written by "Private Eye" director Park Dae Min, the upcoming action crime film premieres on January 12.
"Special Cargo" cast members also include child actor Jung Hyun Joon, who played kidnapped victim Seo Won.
Joining the cast is "Taxi Driver" star Kim Eui Sung as President Baek and Shin Soo Oh as Detective Kang.
Park So Dam Diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Cancer + Will Skip Promotional Activities for 'Special Cargo'
Ahead of her new movie, the 30-year-old actress is recovering from surgery after being diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Cancer.
Park So Dam's agency confirmed that the actress was diagnosed with the said illness after performing her regular health examination.
With this, the doctors recommended that the actress undergo surgery and is currently recovering from it.
As for her upcoming film, the management shared that the "Record of Youth" star will not be attending promotions and was "very disappointed" that she won't be able to meet her fans in person.
"Although actress Park So Dam cannot participate in "Special Delivery" promotions, she is cheering on the "Special Cargo" premiere," her agency mentioned in a statement.

The action crime movie is her comeback to the big screen, six years since the rom-com film "Cinderella and the Four Knights" was premiered.
The South Korean star debuted as an actress in 2013 and appeared in notable Kdramas such as "A Beautiful Mind" and films "The Youth," "The Vampire Lives Next Door To Us," "Run Off," and more.
Interestingly, the Oscar-winning film "Parasite" gained her international attention after landing the role of Kim's family's daughter named Kim Gi Jeong, who disguised herself as an art teacher, Jessica.
