"All of Us Are Dead" director Lee Jae Gyu gets honest as he dishes out details regarding the Netflix K-zombie series and the possibility of having season 2.
The latest teen zombie flick follows the story of Hyosan High Students who are trapped inside the campus filled with flesh-eating monsters.
Interestingly, the 12 part episode series that stars Yoo Chan Young, Park Ji Hoo, Park Solomon, Cho Yi Hyun and more soared as the leading Netflix TV show since it premiered globally.
Director Lee Jae Gyu Talks About the Difference Between the Webtoon and the K-Series
During his interview with Ten Asia, the director talked about what set the webtoon apart from the Kdrama.
He explained that they retained the original flow of the story, including the character and the highlights based on the webtoon.
However, he explained that the "biggest difference" would be the origin of the virus.
Director Lee Jae Gyu shared that the webtoon did not clearly tackle where the virus originated, unlike in "All of Us Are Dead," where "we changed it to a setting that raises the topic of whether it is also human," he explained.

To recall, the teen zombie flick series showed in episode 1 how the virus started and why it was created.
High school science teacher Lee Byung Chan, played by Kim Byung Chul, formulated a vaccine that would help his son deal with school bullies. However, it became out of hand and spread throughout the campus after a student was bit by a lab rat.
Unfortunately, no antidote or vaccine would stop the virus from spreading.
'All of Us Are Dead' Director Hints at Season 2
As the interview continued, Lee Jae Gyu was asked the million dollar question about the "All of Us Are Dead 2."
The director gets honest and explains that he is also looking forward to return with a sequel, but as of now, he has to wait and see what will happen as there's no official decision from Netflix.
Interestingly, if the streaming giant gave a green flag to renew the Kdrama, director Lee Jae Gyu spoke about the possible storyline of "All of Us Are Dead Season 2 and where it will focus on.
"If season 1 was the survival period of humans, season 2 would be the survival period of zombies," he hinted, noting that if viewers loved season 1, then they would surely love the second installment.
It is safe to say that there's a big chance that the K-zombie series will have a sequel since it has been the current top rating tv show on Netflix for over a week.
According to Flix Patrol, "All of Us Are Dead" is the number one Netflix tv show worldwide for eight consecutive days, topping 49 countries.
Moreover, right after the 12-episode series had its worldwide premiere, #AllOfUsAreDead became a trending topic on Twitter.
At the same time, cast members Yoo Chan Young, Park Ji Hoo, Park Solomon and Cho Yi Hyun immediately reached a one million mark followers on Instagram, which only showed how the public is interested in the newest K-zombie craze.
