'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo' to Have Two-Day Broadcast on MBC M

On March 17, a K-media report stated Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Sung Kyung's refreshing youth romance series "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" is announced for a re-run.

MBC M will broadcast the sports drama this coming March 19 and 20 at 11 a.m. (KST). In addition, the broadcasting company is expected to release eight episodes per day.

"Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" follows the story of Kim Bok Joo (Lee Sung Kyung), a young lady weightlifter at an athlete college university. She develops a crush on her friend Jung Joon Hyung (Nam Joo Hyuk).

MBC M decided to release the series again due to Nam Joo Hyuk's massive popularity these days because of his ongoing K-drama "Twenty Five, Twenty One."

In "WFKBJ," Nam Joo Hyuk drew attention because of his visuals portraying a swimmer and sweet romance with Lee Sung Kyung's role. The actor was praised for his acting skills and set standards among young K-actors.

From being a rookie to now one of the sought-after K-drama leading men, Nam Joo Hyuk established strong branding in the entertainment industry. Before he starred in "WFKBJ," the young star joined the cast of record-breaking series "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" and worked with Kim Seon Ho and Suzy on tvN's 2020 series "Start-Up."
