"Tomorrow" featured a promising start as lead stars SF9 Rowoon, Kim Hee Sun, Lee Soo Hyuk, and Yun Ji On illustrate how the underworld intervenes in the lives of humans and the dead.

In addition, the action-fantasy K-drama is off to a good beginning as viewership rating shows high figures.

'Tomorrow' Viewership Rating

According to Nielsen Korea, "Tomorrow" episode 1 garnered an average nationwide rating of 7.6 percent while 8.2 percent in the metropolitan area.

Due to this, the MBC weekend series made it the most-watched drama in its time slot across all channels.

'Tomorrow' Episode 1 Recap: Choi Joon Woong Falls into a Coma

The episode starts with the Risk Management Group led by Goo Ryun (Kim Hee Sun) and her accomplice Im Ryung Goo (Yun Ji On.)

The duo has a unique way of changing people's minds about contemplating suicide.

In one scene, the Goo Ryun took over a car with four men and women who were trying to take their lives. She went crazy over the steering wheel. This caused her passengers to tremble in fear.

She then stopped at the end of the broken bridge as the group begged for their lives. The Risk Management team succeed in their mission.

The next scene featured Choi Joon Woong (SF9 Rowoon), a fresh college graduate who is eager to land a job.

Unfortunately, the reality is harsh for him as he struggles to find a company that would hire him.

Disappointed that he would not be able to help his mom, Choi Joon Woong poured his emotion and devastation while walking at the Han River bridge. He encountered a man who was about to jump into the river.

He tries to rescue the man but meets two mysterious-looking people- Goo Ryun and Im Ryung Goo. Instead of Joon Woong saving the man, they ended up falling into the bridge.

Choi Joon Woong then woke up at the hospital as a half-human and half spirit. Moreover, he was also stunned to see the grim reaper Ryun inside his room.

Here, she explained that Joon Woong falls into a three-year coma with his spirit separated from his body.

On the other hand, "Tomorrow" introduces another team headed by Park Joong Gil (Lee Soo Hyuk.)

Choi Joon Woong Becomes a Rookie Grim Reaper

Jade Hwang Introduces Choi Joon Woong to the Risk Management Team as their rookie member. This comes after he was given a choice to return to his body after six months instead of three years and get a job in his chosen company.

The deal will only occur when he agrees to join the RM team. Seeing the positive side of the offer, Joon Woong lands his first-ever job as a grim reaper.

One of his first tasks is with writer Noh Eun Bi's case. The team disguised themselves as show producers to get in touch with Eun Bi.

Sensing that she was on the verge of taking her own life, Goo Ryun and the new member entered her memory and saw that she was a victim of bullying and harassment during her high school years.
