Over social media, fans of the SF9 member showed their love by sending their condolences to the "Tomorrow" star and his family.

Someone also recalled the heartbreaking scene in his current drama where Rowoon's character emotionally bids goodbye to the old war veteran as he sees his death.

One even mentioned on Twitter that Rowoon shared a special bond with his grandfather.

As cited, his name was given by his grandfather. Rowoon, whose real name is Kim Seok Woo, holds a special meaning to their family.

He previously told Studio A that "Seok stands for mineral and Woo stands for helper," adding that his grandfather wanted him "to help others and contribute to the world."

Due to this, the South Korean heartthrob maintains that philosophy saying that his "strength" is wanting to be "a good person."

"There is no clear-cut standard about being a good person, and everyone has a different perspective on it. Wherever I am, I want to bring good vibes," he tells Men's Folio, as noted by the outlet.

Rowoon's new drama is the action fantasy series "Tomorrow" alongside Kim Hee Sun, Lee Soo Hyuk, and Yun Ji On as lead stars.

In the MBC K-drama, the 25-year-old actor took on the role of rookie grim reaper, Choi Joon Woong, who is currently in limbo after he falls into a deep coma.

While his soul is in a state of uncertainty about whether he'll live or die, he becomes the newbie member of the Risk Management Team headed by Goo Ryeon, played by Kim hee Sun, and her right hand, Im Ryung Goo, portrayed by Yun Ji On.

While their department prevents people from committing suicide, their rival team, the Guiding Management Team, led by Park Joong Gil (Lee Soo Hyuk) believed in a completely different point of view, making them clash due to their opposing standpoints.

Park Joong Gil disdain people to commit suicide and thinks they don't deserve a second chance. On the other hand, Goo Ryeon believes that these people are on edge because of unfortunate incidents.

Interestingly, "Tomorrow" is Rowoon's return to the small screen after the success of the historical K-drama "The King's Affection" with Park Eun Bin.

From grim reaper, he used to be the royal's handsome and optimist teacher, Jung Ji Woon, who comes from a noble family.
