Lee Jung Jae on Returning to Cannes Film Festival for His Movie 'Hunt'
Aside from being a top-notch actor, and businessman, Lee Jung Jae is now venturing into making films with his first-ever movie "Hunt."
In the video, the actor recalled the first time he went to France to attend the prestigious annual film festival.
Interestingly, it was for the 2010 film "The Housemaid" where he and Jeon Do Yeon portrayed the wealthy couple Hoon and Lee Eun Yi.
At the time, he thought the Cannes Film festival "was very cool" and revealed that he wanted to return as a filmmaker.
His manifestation really worked after "Hunt" was invited to the 75th Cannes Film Festival, held from May 17 to 28.
Lee Jung Jae's new movie will be under the Midnight Screenings with fellow K-contents. "Decision to Leave" directed by Park Chan Wook and the star-studded "Broker" helmed by Japanese director Hirokazu Koreeda will be competing for festival's highest prize, the Palme d'Or.
The actor-director went to express his gratitude and said that he is "very happy" to come back to Cannes as a filmmaker.
Aside from being the director of the espionage-themed movie, "Hunt" also features Lee Jung Jae as the lead star together with best friend Jung Woo Sung and versatile actress Jeon Hye Jin.
In addition, this is also his reunion project with "Squid Game" co-star Heo Sung Tae, who took the role of villain Jang Deok Soo a.k.a player no. 101.
Expressing his excitement to introduce his new film to the global audience, Lee Jung Jae also mentioned that he is thrilled to hear and tell stories during the film festival, with his good friend and "Hunt" co-star Jung Woo Sung.

"Hunt," which will be officially released in the summer of 2022, will be the actor's follow-up project after the massive success of Netflix's "Squid Game."

In the video, the 49-year-old star dishes out Lee Min Ho's hidden skills and reveals that he has many talents aside from acting.
The two top stars are also interested in films and sharing stories through visual representations.
While Lee Min Ho described his fellow actor as "a person who splits the day" during his previous interview, Lee Jung Jae returned the favor and lauded the young actor for his great talents.
The "Chief of Staff" star learned a lot from Lee Min Ho, especially with his visual techniques as seen on his vlogs.
The Hallyu star often shares a glimpse of his life through his YouTube channel titled "Lee Min Ho Film" with his latest video featuring the behind-the-scenes of "Pachinko."
