On the other hand, the scene features the present time, showing Choi Joon Woong's mom is determined not to give up on her son despite being in a coma for six months already. She believes that one day, her son will wake up and return to his normal life.

As for his current state in Jumadeung, Choi Joon Woong and Im Ryung Goo (Yun Ji On) are being transferred to different departments after Emperor jade announced the nearing end of the Risk Management Team.

Due to this, the newbie grim reaper revealed the truth to Park Joong Gil, hoping that he'll be able to save Goo Ryeon.

In the previous episode, it showed that Goo Ryeon disobeyed the major rule in Jumadeung and that it is to intervene in the lives of the living.

Due to her impulsive reaction and decision, Ha Dae Soo, the King of the Underworld, visited Jumadeung to give Goo Ryeon her punishment.

Surprisingly, after Choi Joon Woong successfully convinced Park Joong Gil to help Goo Ryeon, he took the blame and was beaten by Ha Dae Soo.

Despite being questioned by the underworld's gatekeeper for his reason for letting Goo Ryeon escape, he insists that he did not let her escape but was only doing him a favor as he wants to capture Goo Ryeon himself.

Of course, this was only his excuse because he didn't want Goo Ryeon to return to hell after knowing their connection.

Thankfully, Emperor Jade backs him up and tells Ha Dae Soo that Park Joong Gil is Goo Ryeon's rival, and there's no way he will save her.

Choi Joon Woong Returns to the World of the Living

After successfully resolving the mission involving Goo Ryeon's best friend and former court lady, Choi Joon Woong was sad to return to the world of the living because he knew that he wouldn't remember anything that involved being in Jumadeung. It also means that he will forget who Goo Ryeon and Im Ryung Goo were.

However, he is happy to get reunited with his family again and live life the way he used to.

As promised by Emperor Jade, Choi Joon Woong entered the company he desired.

In addition, Goo Ryeon and Im Ryung Joo were happy to witness how he saved his officemate's life after attempting to jump from the building.

In the end, the Risk Management team leader said that she'd be happy to welcome Choi Joon Woong again after 50 years.
