'Our Blues' Episode 17: Hyeon Chun Hui Discovers Son's Hidden Secret
Although delighted to see her granddaughter Son Eun Gi (Ki So Yu), Hyeon Chun Hui (Go Doo Shim) still worries about the reason why her daughter-in-law left her daughter in her care.
Unfortunately, it wasn't anything about a failing marriage rather it was something more severe.
After accidentally hearing Eun Gi's story, Chun Hui rushes to Mokpo Hospital to check on her son who's currently in the ICU after unexpectedly getting hit by a truck.
She suggests letting her son die to stop the pain and agony, and hands all of her savings to her daughter-in-law for her to start anew.
Back in Jeju, Eun Gi cries her heart out and refuses to accept that her father is in critical condition.

Eun Gi still hopes for her father to be better, and fulfill his promises to see 100 moons and make 100 wishes as they live in Jeju harmoniously.
Thankfully, Chun Hui's son wakes up from coma and recovers with the help of his wife and daughter.
Back at home, Chun Hui busies herself with work to help her son financially, and waits for his family to come to Jeju to settle down as a fisherman.
'Our Blues' Episode 18: Lee Dong Seok Recalls Painful Past
Lee Dong Seok (Lee Byung Hun) finally discovers the truth behind his mother's failing health as Jung Eun Hui (Lee Jung Eun) reveals that his mother suffers from terminal cancer.
Because of his wrath, he couldn't feel any positive emotions about what he learned. Instead, his hate for Kang Ok Dong (Kim Hye Ja) becomes more intense.
He recalls how much he loathed his mother's marriage with his father's own friend. Because she remarried, he would always be beaten to pulp by his step-brothers without showing any remorse.
This scarred Dong Seok for life, and up until now, he still couldn't look at his mother the same way. But when he learns about her illness, his heart softens up.
In spite of his hatred towards his mother's second family, Dong Seok still agrees to accompany her to her late ex-husband's memorial service.
Though he tries so hard to display indifference, Dong Seok feels a gut-wrenching emotion as he sees his mother tidying up her house and giving away personal items, as if preparing to bid goodbye to her friends.
Meanwhile, Min Seon Ah (Shin Min Ah), who promises to visit Jeju after her work in Seoul, confesses her love for Dong Seok in episode 18.
