"The Roundup" and "Broker" are showing dominance on the big screen as these two dramas tops the box office.
In a report cited by Star News, the Film Promotion Committee named Ma Dong Seok and Son Seok Koo's action film as the leading movie, followed by the award-winning drama "Broker."
'The Roundup' Nears to Hit 10 Million Audience
Released on May 18, "The Roundup," also known as "The Outlaws 2," remained in first place at the box office for weeks.
Based on the committee's integrated computer network for movie theater tickets, the sequel garnered a total of 9,833,190 spectators.
With this, it is safe to say that Ma Dong Seok, Son Seok Koo, and Choi Gwi Hwa's blockbuster movie will hit the 10 million mark in no time.

On the other hand, the lead stars virtually expressed their gratitude to viewers who supported, watched, and loved the film.
Over ABO Entertainment's official Instagram, the distributor behind "The Roundup" featured Ma Dong Seok and Son Seok Koo, thanking viewers worldwide.
The "Eternal" star, whose English name is Don Lee, mentioned that the action crime film is not just doing great in South Korea but also overseas.
Moreover, he also thanked the audience who went to theaters despite the pandemic.
Son Seok Koo expressed the same stance and greeted his fans and the public with a great smile.
In the short clip, the actor wished that he could visit cities where "The Roundup" is currently showing to meet and greet fans. He wrapped up the greeting, thanking everyone who supported the film.
The action crime movie a.k.a "The Outlaws 2," became the fastest film to reach the 9 million mark, beating the award-winning "Parasite."
Furthermore, it is also the first movie to gain such a huge response, nearing 10 million audiences since the pandemic.
'Broker' Lands Second in the Box Office
In the same report cited by Star News, "Broker" came in second place for two days in a row.
Following its historic win at Cannes Film Festival 2022, the Koreeda Hirokazu-directed movie had its theatrical release on June 8 and previously topped reservation rates, as cited by Ten Asia.
"Broker," which stars IU, Song Kang Ho, Kang Dong Won, Lee Joo Young and Bae Doona, follows the story of infants being abandoned by parents and leaving them at a temporary shelter known as the baby box.
In the movie, two brokers named Sang Hyun and Dong Soo, played by Song Kang Ho and Kang Dong Won, helped So Young, portrayed by IU, to find her son a new family.
However, the duo is being tracked down by the police as Detective Soo Jin and Lee have been watching their every move.
Interestingly, coming in third place is the Hollywood movie "Jurassic: World Dominion" with 2,35,4632 cumulative audiences.
