The long-awaited sequel successfully dropped its premiere on June 15, and viewers are loving it.

According to a report, "The Witch: Part 2. The Other One" is currently on the top spot for two days in a row.

The Film Promotion Committee shared that the second installment garnered 177,965 viewers nationwide on its second day and 266,514 on its debut, making it a total of 448,846.

It is safe to say that "The Witch 2" will hit the one million mark in no time.

Meanwhile, Ma Dong Seok and Son Seok Koo's "The Roundup" slid to the second spot after mobilizing 85,573 viewers on June 16.

For almost a month since it premiered, the Film Promotion Committee cited that the sequel to "The Outlaws" raked 10,099,334 spectators, leading them to long-term box office success.

On the other hand, capping off at the top three is the Koreeda Hirokazu-directed drama movie "Broker," with 31,410 audiences.

Released on May 26, the film nears its one million mark after garnering 949,041.

It stars IU, Kang Dong Won, Bae Doona, Lee Joo Young, and Song Kang ho who recently made a historic win after being the only South Korean star who bagged Best Actor at the Cannes Film festival.

Interestingly, despite the movie being her first-ever on-screen appearance and beating 1,408 competitors for the role, the 23-year-old actress never failed the viewers as she was able to deliver a stellar performance.

As mentioned, "The Witch: Part 2. The Other One" is the follow-up story to the first part, which stars Kim Da Mi.

Meanwhile, the second installment follows the story of a mysterious girl who found herself in the middle of a massive secret laboratory. She tries to escape and accidentally meets Kyung Hee, played by Park Eun Bin, who attempts to protect her house against criminals.

To her surprise, she witnessed the girl's overwhelming power and was able to defeat a criminal organization single-handedly.

Joining Shin Si Ah and Park Eun Bin is Jo Min Soo, who reprised her role as Dr. Baek.

Interestingly, Kim Da Mi and Lee Jong Suk made a cameo, with the actress reprising her role as Ko Ja Yun.

"The Witch: Part 2. The Other One" is helmed by director Park Hoon Jung who also directed the first film.
