Before "The Roundup" achieved over 10 million moviegoers, the original movie "The Outlaws" also received the same overwhelming response from the public.
Released in 2017, the action crime film raked almost $53,000,000 for its worldwide ticket sales according to data released by Box Office Mojo.
Meanwhile, Rotten Tomato gave "The Outlaws" a whopping 91 percent on its Tomatometer while 79 percent on the audience score.
The movie which stars Ma Dong Seok and Yoon Kye Sang as lead stars follow the story of Seoul detectives who attempts to keep the city in peace, however, two Chinese-Korean gangs battle over territory in the neighborhood.
"The Outlaws" is based on a true story of the "Heuksapa Incident" that occurred between 2004 and 2007.
The authorities managed to wipe out the criminal ring in Seoul's Garibong-dong, thanks to the monster detective Ma Suk Do.
Four years after the blockbuster movie premiered, they released a highly anticipated sequel, "The Outlaws 2" also known as "The Roundup" with the new villain through Son Seok Koo.

As mentioned, he reprised his role as the fearless detective Ma Suk Do in "The Roundup."

Over his Instagram, he often expressed how thankful he is for the viewers and fans who showed support in "The Roundup."

After the blockbuster movie, viewers would expect more films by Ma Dong Seok starting with the action-horror fantasy film "Holy Night: Demon Hunters."
The 51-year-old star will be joined by David Lee, Seo Hyun, Jung Ji Soo, and Kyung Soo Jin as lead stars.
In addition, he will also star in "The Wilderness" opposite Lee Jun Young and the drama movie "Apgujeong Report" with "Hospital Playlist" star Jung Kyung Ho.
Yoon Kye Sang
He took the role of Jang Chen who works as a loan shark in Seoul's Chinatown.
After garnering praise for his character in "The Outlaws," he is currently starring in the webtoon-based Kdrama "Kiss Sixth Sense" alongside Kim Ji Suk and "Crash Landing on You" star Seo Ji Hye.
Following the rom-com series, Yoon Hye Sang is also in talks to join the cast of the romance drama "Married Couple Is Jobless."
He is rumored to team up with Jung Ryeo Won as they portray the Kdrama's main character.
Choi Gwi Hwa
Playing the role of Chief Jeon in "The Outlaws" Choi Gwi Hwa reprised his role and became one of the main characters in "The Roundup."
Adding to the list of his upcoming movies, the versatile actor is in talks to join the cast of the drama film "Korean Time" and thriller mystery film "After" led by Oh Dae Hwan and Jang Dong Yoon.
