The romance life series follows the story of a remarkable lawyer named Woo Young Woo who despite her autism spectrum disorder is making a name for herself as Korea's first-ever lawyer with autism.

Her impressive high IQ, memory skills, and creative thought process made her top of her class both in high school and at the country's most prestigious law school.

However, she struggled to fit in when she entered the real world and courtroom. Thankfully, Woo Young Woo has supportive friends and co-workers who helped her cope with the fast-paced life.

One of the most hyped series this 2022, viewers are so hooked with the program that Jung Woo Sung was so impressed with the "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" syndrome.

In a report cited by SBS Entertainment News, the 49-year-old top star recalled his film "Innocent Witness" penned by the "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" writer Moon Ji Won.

The K-drama and the 2019 movie center around characters with developmental disabilities.

For Jung Woo Sung, he said that he is "surprised" to see the "Woo Young Woo syndrome" and lauded writer Moon Ji Won for it.

Moreover, he pointed out the possible connection between the two movies since one of the characters in the movie Im Ji Woo, played by Kim Hyang Gi is a teenage girl with Asperger's.

"In "Witness," there is a scene in which Ji-woo says, "I want to be a lawyer,'" he recalled adding, " I think Jiwoo's words were expressed as Woo Young-woo in the drama and it was fascinating. I am grateful that the author created a story in which people in the world understand and communicate with each other through the characters Jiwoo and Youngwoo."

The 2019 movie depicts the story of an old man who suffered from depression and was found dead. Unfortunately, his housekeeper Oh Mi Ran (Yeom Hye Ran) was accused of being the suspect.

Yoon Soon Ho, played by Jung Woo Sung, is her defense attorney and is set to prove that the housekeeper is innocent. However, the sole witness to the incident is Ji Woo.

Her disability is being questioned whether she would be able to take the stand and provide a valid statement.

"Innocent Witness" took home the Daesang or Grand Prize in the film category at the Baeksang Arts Awards, while "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" is raking soaring viewership ratings every episode.

After the ENA series aired its successful finale, the officials confirmed that the life romance K-drama would return for season 2.

According to reports, ASTORY President Lee Sang Baek, the production company behind "Extraordinary Attorney Woo," officially announced the drama's sequel.

This is due to the support of the "support of many viewers" adding that they "hope to air the second season sometime in 2024."

As for the cast members, the production company "plan to proceed with season 2 without any cast member changes, or any changes to the production staff."

On top of it, "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" will also be remade into a musical.
