K-drama Royalties Shin Min Ah, Gong Hyo Jin Team Up Ahead of 'Sisters of the Road' Re-Release

Hallyu's top stars Shin Min Ah and Gong Hyo Jin appeared in one dreamy shoot as the duo teamed up for Vogue Korea. The K-drama royalties graced the publication's September 2022 and ahead of the re-release of their 2009 movie "Sisters of the Road."

In a series of photos, Gong Hyo Jin and Shin Min Ah flaunted their longtime friendship as they candidly posed in a black and white shoot.

The duo stunned in a puffy midi dress from Copenhagen-based designer Cecilie Bahnsen. The "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" star opted for a dainty vibe, donning white loafers from Christian Louboutin while the soon-to-be bride showed off her personality through the black rubber Prada boots.

Shin Min Ah and Gong Hyo Jin Recalls their Movie 'Sisters of the Road'

Following the shoot, Gong Hyo Jin and Shin Min Ah talked about their thoughts regarding the digitally remastered version of "Sisters of the Road."

After 13 years, the drama film will be screened at the Seoul International Women's Film Festival, which will open on August 25.

It follows the story of siblings who got reunited after the sudden death of their mother. Shin Min Ah plays Myeong Eun who returns to their hometown in Jeju island for the funeral and meets her sister Myeong Joo, played by Gong Hyo Jin, who now has a daughter named Seung Ah.

During the interview with Vogue Korea, Gong Hyo Jin spoke about her friendship with Shin Min Ah.

"When I was young, I thought relationships were easy. As I get older, old friends are so precious," she said, adding, "It seems like yesterday that I saw Minah in a school uniform, and even now, I still chatter to the point that I have a sore throat."

Moreover, the award-winning actress expressed how "glad" they got reunited in a project and shared that they "got along really well."

In addition, the "When the Camellia Blooms" star also shared Shin Min Ah's true nature off cam, saying that she is "calm and mature for her age."

Besides the film " "Sisters of the Road" the top stars first worked in the 2001 comedy movie "Volcano High School" headlined by Jang Hyuk and Kim Soo Ro. Interestingly, it was Shin Min Ah's debut movie.

Before the shoot with Vogue, the top stars took a trip down memory lane and shared a photo from their 2009 movie.

"The remastered version of the movie 'Sisters on the Road' in which I starred with Gong Hyo-jin will be released soon," Shin Min Ah's Instagram caption reads.

"Sisters of the Road" co-star Gong Hyo Jin also uploaded the still cuts of the movie and captioned her Instagram "Remastered version premiere revealed! A movie that was a little ahead of the era scheduled to be released in October."

Over the comment section, fans mentioned how good the movie is and seem excited about the re-release of their 2009 film.
