After what he has been through, Ha Jung Woo sees light and turns over a new leaf. In episodes 4 to 6 of "Narco-Saints," the drama tells the importance of trust, friendship and dignity amid all the chaos and betrayal in Suriname.
'Narco-Saints' Episode 4: A String of Betrayal
In episode 4 of the series, Jeon Yo Hwan's (Hwang Jung Min) men show up to take down the rest of Kang In Gu's (Ha Jung Woo) team at the Brazilian border.
It turns out that it was the National Intelligence Service's (NIS) plan all along. Kang In Gu becomes more frustrated knowing that Choi Chang Ho (Park Hae Soo) continues to lie to his face, straining their relationship.
Meanwhile, Jeon Yo Hwan takes Kang In Gu to visit the President of Suriname, bribing him to handle the situation at the border.
He also offers to make Kang In Gu his partner and the director of the operations. While he tries to find ways on how to take down the drug lord, Choi Chang Ho grows suspicious about him.
Kang In Gu still wants to kill Jeon Yo Hwan, but Choi Chang Ho refuses. Because of this, he decides to follow Jeon Yo Hwan secretly and ends up in Chinatown.
'Narco-Saints' Episode 5: Battle of the Bastards
Unbeknownst to him, Jeon Yo Hwan also makes an unscheduled visit to Chen Jin's (Chang Chen) restaurant in Chinatown.
Chen Jin is torn whether to betray Kang In Gu or proceed to their initial plan. On the other hand, Kang In Gu goes to Jeon Yo Hwan and convinces him to take the Puerto Rico route instead of stalling at the Brazilian border.
Things escalate, alerting the NIS. Kang In Gu, Chen Jin, Choi Chang Ho and Jeon Yo Hwan are all fighting for their lives and greed.

The drugs are left in Chen Jin's hands and patiently waits for Kang In Gu's go signal before moving. However, Choi Chang Ho now wants to pull out the latter from the mission.
In the next scene, Jeon Yo Hwan calls for a meeting in hopes to catch the culprit in his gang, putting Kang In Gu in a sticky situation.
He then calls the President for help, cornering Chen Jin. He is left with no choice but to disclose his location to Kang In Gu, causing him to be killed in the nick of time.
'Narco-Saints' Episode 6: Kang In Gu's Escape
Kang In Gu plans to get on the same plane with the cocaine and escape Suriname along with Jeon Yo Hwan while the NIS is executing their plan in taking down the latter.
However, Jeon Yo Hwan, who still has suspicions, leaves Kang In Gu behind which ruins their plans.
To salvage the mission, Choi Chang Ho goes to the airport to receive the shipment and finish the deal. After which, they decide to go with their second plan.

They arrest one of Jeon Yo Hwan's men, luring him in as they convince the drug lord that things are running smoothly.
The NIS then attacks Jeon Yo Hwan's mansion. The President betrays him and refuses to send support, which makes Jeon Yo Hwan's life more at risk.
Meanwhile, Kang In Gu corners Jeon Yo Hwan when the latter manages to flee. He plans to kill the drug lord who made his life miserable with his own hands.
At the end of the episode, Kang In Gu is seen living in a cozy home with his family, happy to have him back.
After a few months, Kang In Gu turns over a new leaf as a mechanic when he receives a visit from Choi Chang Ho, who tells not to reveal his affiliation with the NIS, and just live a happy life with his family.
