Hallyu's top stars RAIN and Jo Jung Suk made headlines after they got embroiled in a cheating allegation involving professional golfer Park Gyeol.
Amid the scandalous rumor, the actors' agency released a statement dismissing an alleged affair.
RAIN and Jo Jung Suk's Agencies Plans to Take Legal Action Amid Cheating Rumors
According to media outlets, the "Ghost Doctor" star's agency, RAIN COMPANY, released a statement as they expressed their stance regarding the issue.
The label explained that they initially chose to brush off the issue, pointing out that addressing the controversy "was not necessary as it was groundless false information not worthy of any response."
However, as the rumor started circulating on the internet citing "personal attack and harassment" against RAIN and Kim Tae Hee, they decided that it was time to speak up.
With this, RAIN COMPANY shared that they have contacted the involved media outlet and "received confirmation that the mentioned initials do not refer to an artist that is affiliated with our company."
Lastly, they left a warning stating that they will "take strong legal action without any leniency" to those spreading false information against their artists.

The same goes for Jo Jung Suk's agency, JAM Entertainment, saying that the actor "has never even met, let alone have a personal connection to any female golfer."
The said female professional golfer is identified as the 2014 Asian Games gold medalist Park Gyeol.
Who is Park Gyeol? The Woman Behind RAIN's Cheating Controversy
Born in January 1996, the 27-year-old Park Gyeol is a professional golfer, whose hometown is in Suncheon-si, Jeollanam-do.
She reportedly graduated from Dongil Electronics Information High School and later from Sejong University.
Before cementing her name as one of South Korea's top female golfers and scoring gold at the 2014 Asian Games, Park Gyeol used to be a top amateur golfer as a teenager.
With her distinct talent, she won Best Rookie in 2015 at the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA.)
Her popularity also gained her a lucrative sponsorship deal with Footjoy and got featured in Golf Digest Korea and Golf For Women Korea magazine.
Besides her skills in golf, fans also noticed her beauty and resemblance to actress and RAIN's wife Kim Tae Hee, earning her the moniker "Kim Tae Hee of the golf world"
However, this similarity led her to be embroiled in cheating allegations after she was accused of being RAIN's mistress.
Amid the controversy, Park Gyeol, took to Instagram as she addresses the issue,
The female professional golfer shuts down cheating rumors, calling it "ludicrous."
"I've only met him once at a sponsored event a few years ago. I don't even know his [phone] number," she wrote.
As for the remarks saying that she looked like Kim Tae Hee, Park Gyeol says that she feels "grateful" but pointed out that she "can't believe this nonsense is happening" referring to the issue.
