Nothing beats the old shows. From Gong Yoo's "Coffee Prince" to Hyun Bin's "My Lovely Sam-Soon," here are the 7 K-dramas that stood the test of time!
1. 'Coffee Prince'
Go Eun Chan (Yoon Eun Hye) is a licensed taekwondo instructor who does delivery service as a side hustle. She meets Han Gyeol (Gong Yoo), an heir to a conglomerate. Her boyish image deceives everyone into thinking that she's a strong man with a petite figure.

Han Gyeol decides to hire her and pretend as his gay lover so he can escape the blind dates arranged by his grandmother. He gets an ultimatum from his grandma and takes over a rundown old coffee shop, and rebrands it as Coffee Prince to prove he's capable of running a business.
Meanwhile, Eun Chae continues to hide her identity to get a job at the cafe.
2. 'My Girl'
Before he captured the viewers' hearts in "Goblin" when he played his iconic grim reaper role, Lee Dong Wook first established his heartthrob image in the rom-com series "My Girl" alongside Lee Da Hae.
"My Girl" follows the story of a poor girl who has a talent for telling lies, and gets mixed up with a rich guy. When Gong Chan's grandfather is about to pass away, he hires Joo Yoo Rin to pretend to be his long-lost cousin to fulfill his grandfather's dying wish.
3. 'Brilliant Legacy'
After her father died, Go Eun Sung's (Han Hyo Joo) stepmother kicks her and her autistic brother out of the house. Later on, her brother goes missing and Eun Sung has to search for him while also trying to find a job to survive. She then meets the arrogant young man Seon Woo Hwan (Lee Seung Gi) and his grandmother that will change her luck in life.
4. 'Secret Garden'
"Secret Garden" revolves around Kim Joo Won (Hyun Bin), an eccentric CEO who maintains his perfectionist image, and Gil Ra Im (Ha Ji Won), a poor yet humble stunt woman whose body and beauty are envied amongst actresses. They had a bad impression of each other after Joo Won mistakes Ra Im for actress Park Chae Rin. To make things worse, a strange sequence of events results in them swapping bodies.
5. 'A Gentleman's Dignity'
This 2012 series is about the careers and love lives of professionals. It tells the story of four men in their forties who have been friends since high school, as they go through love, break up, success, and failure.
It centers its story on the romantic relationship between Kim Do Jin (Jang Dong Gun) an architect, and strict high school teacher, Seo Yi Soo (Kim Ha Neul).
6. 'My Princess'
Starring Song Seung Heon and Kim Tae Hee, this romantic-comedy drama introduces the journey of an ordinary university student, Lee Seol, who later on finds out she's a real princess and the great granddaughter of Korea's last Emperor.
7. 'My Lovely Sam-Soon'
Kim Sam Soon (Kim Sun Ah), a baker whose forte is making pastries and cakes, caught her boyfriend cheating on Christmas eve and immediately broke up with him.
On the same night, she accidentally meets Hyun Jin Hun (Hyun Bin). By coincidence, he needs a baker for his resto and decides to hire Sam Soon as a chief baker; it also marks their never-ending quarrels.
