It is only the second week of January, yet there are still more K-dramas to make their debut on primetime. From Jang Seung Jo's "Can We Be Strangers" to Kim Hyun Joo's "Jung E," here are some of the additional Korean content to enjoy this month.
Jung Yong Hwa and Cha Tae Hyun first met the viewers last January 2 with their medical-comedy series "Brain Works." In the same week, veteran actress Lee Bo Young made her return through the drama "Agency," which already recorded high ratings in its pilot week.
Without further ado, these four Korean series will complete your January as they are expected to meet you starting January 11.
'Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist 2'
After its successful season 1 last 2022, the historical-medical series is back with 10 episodes. Starring Kim Min Jae, Kim Hyang Gi, and Kim Sang Kyung the drama focuses on the psychiatric practices of the Joseon era. In particular, an acupuncturist Yoo Se Poong, to the royal family gets entangled in a conspiracy that forces him to leave the palace, he then meets Seo Eun Woo, who escapes her difficult life to be a professional psychiatrist.

It will start airing on January 11 at 10:30 p.m. (KST) on tvN.
'Can We Be Strangers?'
Returning to primetime this 2023 is musical actor Jang Seung Jo. Different from his previous dramas "The Good Detective" and "Snowdrop," the male star is about to headline a romance series alongside Kang Sora.
The drama follows the story of a divorce lawyer Oh Ha Ra who meets her ex-husband Gu Eun Beom, who is also a lawyer and becomes her colleague. Will romance visit their lives again? Check out ENA's newest show which is scheduled to run on January 18.
'Run Into You'
Jin Ki Joo and Kim Dong Wook are teaming up for the first time in this time travel drama. This tells the mystery about a reporter trying to unveil the truth behind several murders who travels to the past and eventually meets a time-traveling lady trying to prevent her parents from getting married.
"Run Into You" was originally scheduled for release last January 4 on KBS. However, it was postponed and moved to a later date.
'Jung E'
Different from the ones mentioned above, this sci-fi show is a movie to be released on Netflix. It is set in the 22nd century when climate change has caused the planet to become uninhabitable, and humans live within a man-made shelter. Jung-E is the elite leader of the allied forces and later on becomes the subject of a brain cloning experiment.
Jung E will be played by the award-winning actress Kim Hyun Joo. Viewers are about to see this new movie beginning January 20.
