Netflix Korea is experiencing a major increase in user and total usage time after Song Hye Kyo's K-drama "The Glory" made its global premiere.
The revenge drama, which debuted on December 30, continues to make headlines as viewers await for the highly anticipated season 2.
Interestingly, after making it to Netflix's global top 10 TV shows along with other series that are making a huge buzz, the streaming giant gained a significant increase in the number of users and other factors.
'The Glory' Boosts Netflix Users, Total Usage Time
Viewers are thrilled to witness the revenge of Moon Dong Eun, played by Song Hye Kyo, whose dream of becoming an architect was shattered after she was victimized by bullies in high school.
However, years later, she returns with aim for vengeance against her former bullies.
After the massive success of the revenge series, officials have confirmed the much-awaited sequel of the Song Hye Kyo-led K-drama.
"The Glory Season 2" release date is set on March 10 with a majority of the lead stars reprising their roles. It includes Song Hye Kyo, Lim Ji Yeon, Kim Hieora, Jung Sung Il, Cha Joo Young, Lee Do Hyun, and Park Sung Hoon.
In a report, screenwriter Kim Eun Sook teases viewers that fans wouldn't be able to resist the intense ride of the sequel, adding that the second part will feature a "refreshingly satisfying" drama.
Meanwhile, as for the director, the second season will be helmed by Ahn Gil Ho of hit K-dramas like "Memories Of The Alhambra," "Stranger, and "Record Of Youth."
As for the renowned screenwriter, Kim Eun Sook penned "The King: Eternal Monarch," "Goblin," and Song Hye Kyo's "Descendants of the Sun."
