Kim Go Eun recalled how Lee Sang Yi and Kim Sung Cheol went out their way to help her in college.

Promoting her big screen comeback "Hero," the 31-year-old star revealed in an interview how the "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" star and the "Our Beloved Summer" lead actor gave a lot of help during their university days.

Apart from being celebrities, Kim Go Eun, Lee Sang Yi, and Kim Sung Cheol went to the same university.

Majoring in acting, the trio is among the members of the "legendary Korea National University of Arts Class of '10" along with Ahn Eun Jin, Lee Yoo Young, and Park So Dam.

However, Kim Go Eun shared a surprising incident that happened to Lee Sang Yi.

Kim Go Eun mentioned that she would cry and beg them to check her performance.

"Kim Sung Cheol and Lee Sang Yi were the ones who tormented me until the filming started," she said, adding, "I've complained to them a lot too. I thought I'd been trained in musicals since high school, so I confidently showed them my performance."

However, the duo was too frank towards Kim Go Eun that, which made her feel disappointed.

"After hearing their frank comments, I flopped to the ground and cried, begging them to teach me to make sound property," she said, adding that she wanted to take the opportunity to thank Lee Sang Yi and Kim Sung Cheol for giving her constructive criticisms to improve her skills.

To recall, Kim Go Eun's best friend Lee Sang Yi made a cameo in the webtoon-based K-drama "Yumi's Cells" and played as her ex-boyfriend.

Meanwhile, Kim Sung Cheol starred in the hit K-drama "Our Beloved Summer" with Kim Da Mi and Choi Woo Shik.
