"Our Blooming Youth" lead star Jeon So Nee is getting criticized for her performance in the historical rom-com series, where she starred alongside Park Hyung Sik.
Apart from her portrayal of Lady Min Jae Yi, others also speculated that the plummeting viewership was also because of the character, and storyline.
Released on February 6, "Our Blooming Youth" is based on the novel " "The Golden Hairpin" helmed by Lee Jong Jae of "Korean Peninsula," "The Virus," "100 Days My Prince" and "Psychopath Diary."
Prior to the broadcast of the drama's pilot episode, viewers are looking forward to the new team-up between Jeon So Nee and Park Hyung Sik; however, viewership and the public's interest have dropped.
While others see Jeon So Nee's acting as not suitable for her character, some believe that the storyline played a huge part in decreasing viewership in "Our Blooming Youth."
As mentioned in the same outlet, viewers also raised issues with how the script was written for the historical K-drama.
Although it is based on a novel, the public says that it lacks an interesting plot and also questioned why the director made it into 20- episodes.
Since "Our Blooming Youth" is far from the second half of the season, others are hoping that the drama would deliver engaging and fascinating scenes in the coming episodes.
