Fret not, as many period works are quite easy to watch. Here are five of them.

'The Red Sleeve'

In 2021, the multi-awarded historical drama "The Red Sleeve" starring Lee Se Young and Lee Junho graced the screen.

The drama focuses on the romance between a court lady who has a sincere heart for her people and a king who puts the country first before himself.

Helmed beautifully, "The Red Sleeve" is a work that moved the hearts of countless viewers. Besides the actors' performance, the narrative of the work itself proves its quality that no one should miss.

'Twenty Five, Twenty One'

Unlike the previously mentioned works, Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk's "Twenty Five, Twenty One" isn't in the Joseon era.

The drama takes the viewers back to the 1990s during the IMF crisis that hit Asia. In the series, viewers are able to see how the event affected the characters' lives, dreams and relationships in both good and bad ways.

Undoubtedly, the series has the public on a chokehold! A year after its conclusion, fans still couldn't stop talking about "Twenty Five, Twenty One."

'20th Century Girl'

Like "Twenty Five, Twenty One," Kim Yoo Jung, Byun Woo Seok, Park Jung Woo and Noh Yoon Seo's "20th Century Girl" also brings viewers nostalgia about their first loves.

It also showcases the journey of youths who navigate their lives from adolescence to adulthood, and how they cope with loss and heartbreaks.
