The 47-year-old filmmaker is making headlines after an online post garnered attention as the uploader labeled "The Glory" director as a perpetrator of school violence.

As obtained by various outlets, an anonymous post recalled how Ahn Gil Ho used to be when he was in high school and studying at an international university in the Philippines.

At the time, he was dating a third-year high school student, and the uploader, referred to as A, along with his friends, "teased" the girl for dating Ahn Gil Ho.

However, Ahn Gil Ho allegedly called them and recalled being beaten up by their group. Moreover, he also threatened to stab them with a knife.

A then cleared that he didn't want to "cause controversy just because Ahn is doing well," but pointed out that the reason he and his friends made it public is that they find it "absurd and unforgivable" that a director, who used to be a bully, directed a K-drama that focuses on school bullies and injustice.

In addition, the uploader, who is living in the United States, warned that they will take action against the director and denied the accusations.

"If Director Ahn denies it, I'll provide you with testimonies from my friends who were assaulted by me. If he denies it and takes legal action, I'll also respond actively," he said, as obtained by a media outlet.

Immediately after the news made it to headlines, "The Glory" director told Yonhap News Agency that there's no truth behind the claims, and he "does not recall ever ganging up on someone and assaulting them." All he admitted at the time was studying in the Philippines and having a girlfriend.

Then, he withdrew his claims and confessed about his past.

In a separate report, Ahn Gil Ho, through his legal counsel, expressed his apology and said he would like to "convey his apologies directly."

Amid the public criticism, the director explained that he "committed an irreversible, hurtful act against another person." He said that it was a result of being overwhelmed after he found out that his then-girlfriend became an "object of mockery because of him."

Unfortunately, viewers were disappointed by the director, while others said that they were mad for believing in "The Glory," when in fact, the director of the series is a violence perpetrator himself.
