Following the confirmation regarding her K-drama comeback, Lee Young Ae is set to star in another remarkable series.
From her return to the small screen through the series "Inspector Koo" and an upcoming project, the 52-year-old top star will have a back to back K-drama in the coming years.
Lee Young Ae Returns With Historical K-Drama
To recall, one of her remarkable projects was the smash hit K-drama "Jewel in the Palace," where viewers knew her as the legendary Seo Jang Geum.
Fast forward to now, according to a media outlet, Lee Young Ae will join an upcoming historical K-drama. In a report, a representative from Fantagio hinted at a grand production with a notable storyline.
"The drama will be a masterpiece with a large amount cost, and will be an all-time historical drama that can represent Korean dramas."
Moreover, Fantagio also announced that the upcoming historical K-drama is scheduled to air in 2025.
The company's chairman, Nam Gung Gyeon, also predicts that Lee Young Ae's new drama will be one of the forthcoming large scale projects that will gain momentum in the coming years.
On the other hand, the cast lineup, storyline, team, and Lee Young Ae's character are yet to be announced.
So far, the upcoming historical K-drama will be one of Lee Young Ae's new projects, apart from the new series "Maestra."
Lee Young Ae Transforms Into Female Conductor in 'Maestra'
In May, reports officially confirmed that Lee Young Ae will have her first small screen project since the 2021 K-drama "Inspector Koo."
As for her new series, the Hallyu star will work alongside Lee Moo Saeng, Park Ho San, Kim Young Jae, and Hwang Bo Reum Byeol as lead stars.
Based on the 2019 French series "Philharmonia," "Maestra" depicts the story of a female conductor Cha Se Um, played by Lee Young Ae. Behind her massive success in the industry lies a secret. As she digs deep into her orchestra, the Hangang Philharmonic, Cha Se Um uncovers a surprising secret.

Meanwhile, Lee Moo Saeng, who appeared in "Thirty-Nine" and "The Silent Sea," will portray the role of investor Yoo Jung Jae, who works as the president of a financial company.
Hwang Bo Reum Byeol takes on the role of Cha Se Um's rookie orchestra member, Lee Lu Na, while Kim Young Jae plays the conductor's husband, Kim Pill, who secretly envies his wife's success.
Lastly, veteran star Park Ho San joins as Jeon Sang Do, the orchestra's primary stakeholder, who shows great passion and love for music.
According to reports, "Maestra" is scheduled to film in 2023 and be released in 2024 via tvN.
