In an interview by a media outlet, the South Korean heartthrob got honest about his apprehension after being offered the role of a mysterious character.
Kim Seon Ho Admits He Couldn't Watch Himself in 'The Childe' - Here's Why
"The Childe" is Kim Seon Ho's official comeback to show business, following his year long hiatus due to the controversial incident back in 2021. The actor experienced a slump in his career after brands dropped him from various endorsements.
Despite this, he was able to clear his name, and "The Childe" director Park Hoon Jung continued to cast him for the movie.
Due to this, Kim Seon Ho feels thankful for the filmmaker and how the upcoming action-crime film is gaining the attention of the public.
"I don't know how director Park Hoon Jung felt, but I personally feel sorry and am thankful at the same time," he said, adding that he also felt "a lot of complicated emotions" at the time due to the controversy.
Moreover, apart from "The Childe" director, he is also thankful to Studio And New company and their CEO, Jang Kyung Ik, who told him that they planned to cast him "until the end" as long as Kim Seon Ho was okay with it.
Besides the South Korean heartthrob, "The Childe" cast includes Kang Tae Joo as a Filipino-Korean amateur boxer, Marco, Kim Kang Woo, and Go Ah Ra as lead stars.
Kim Seon Ho's new movie will be released on June 21 with a runtime of 1 hour and 58 minutes.
