Slowly but surely, the quirky rom-com series "Not Others," starring Choi Sooyoung and Jeon Hye Jin, is gaining the attention of viewers, showcasing the duo's dynamic.

The recently-premiered K-drama not only illustrates the chaotic relationship between a single mom and her daughter but also teaches lessons about life, especially with family.

Based on the webtoon "Namnam," the 16-episode K-drama follows the story of single mother Kim Eun Mi (Jeon Hye Jin) who raised her daughter, Kim Jin Hee (Choi Sooyoung), alone despite having her at a young age.

'Not Others' Episode 3 Viewership

After the premiere week, the weekday K-drama showed an interesting increase in rating.

On the other hand, one of the highlights of "Not Others" was Kim Eun Mi's role as a mother to Kim Jin Hee. After seeing the abusive son with his grandmother, she recalled the time when she was also beaten by her own father.

She also apologized to Kim Jin Hee for not showing up with an umbrella during the rainy season and confessed that she didn't know what she needed to do because that was also how she was raised.

The third episode showcased the relationship between a mother to her child and the unconditional love she gives them. It's up to them if they will repay their parents' kindness or leave it all behind.
