One of the highly-anticipated K-dramas this August, "The Killing Vote," continues to tease viewers with exciting teasers, keeping the public curious about the drama's premise.
A few days before the release of the much-awaited premiere, SBS dropped a new poster, hinting at what to expect in the upcoming K-drama.
Who is the Masked Man in 'The Killing Vote'?
Based on the hit Kakao webtoon, "The Killing Vote" focuses on the country's nationwide death penalty against criminals who commit heinous crimes.
The series features a mysterious figure known as "Gae Tal," which means "dog mask" in Korean. Wearing a strange-looking mask, he executes the death penalty based on the results of the nationwide voting.
In this activity, citizens over 18 years old would receive a text message asking if the individual should receive the death penalty or not.
As mentioned by a news outlet, director Park Shin Woo and screenwriter Jo Yoon Young both lauded Lim Ji Yeon for her exceptional portrayal of Joo Hyun.
The director said that the character perfectly suits Lim Ji Yeon, showcasing its lovable eccentric trait.
"You'll be able to see her as a cute police officer, a character that is the polar opposite of the national villain [that she played in 'The Glory']," Director Park Shin Woo added.
As for Park Hae Jin, he did a lot of physical preparation since he will be doing a lot of running and "realistic and thrilling car chase scenes," which he mentioned "will be another highlight of the drama."
