Unresolved Questions Viewers Want Answers in 'King the Land'

JTBC's "King the Land" starring Lee Junho and YoonA, might be one of the greatest rom-coms this 2023 yet. With its star-studded and talented cast to the strong rapport that the members shared on and off the screen, audiences in Korea and abroad enjoyed tuning in to the series.

However, aside from its jam-packed romance between the main leads, some viewers are still in search of answers to the characters' story development.

In an online community, people who have watched "King the Land" raised their questions and wished to have it resolved during the finale of the series.

1. Who is Cheon Sa Rang's Mother?

In the first half of the drama, Cheon Sa Rang's mother is always mentioned. Starting from how Sa Rang established a dream to work at King Hotel. The female lead looked up to her mother and became a huge inspiration for her success.

However, as the story progressed, the drama failed to introduce or give more information about Sa Rang's mother, giving viewers a little disappointment.

2. What Happened to Kang Da Eul and Seo Choong Jae?

Giving viewers another unsettled problem was the relationship between Kang Da Eul (Kim Ga Eun) and Seo Choong Jae (Choi Tae Hwan).

In most of their scenes, this couple was always on the phone before. Every time Da Eul asked for favors, he always refused, even though it was his obligation as a husband and a father.

She then found out that Seo Choong Jae was unemployed. After that, it was only shown that he became a house husband. Some viewers were curious if Seo Choong Jae found a job, as part of his character development or if the couple got divorced due to their complicated relationship.

3. Childhood Connection of Cheon Sa Rang and Gu Won

According to a source, the drama left a lot of main points from its original work (webtoon). In particular, the fact that the main leads met in their childhood days when Cheon Sa Rang's mother works at Gu Won's family house, and how she got fired did not make it to the actual drama.

There are missing puzzles from the main protagonists' backstories, and they could have been emphasized in the drama.

Others also mentioned that Gu Won's father, Il Hoon is more cruel to him in order for his son to be strong in the webtoon version.
