"Moving" writer Kang Full talks about the adaptation and the casting of the Disney+ series. Among the characters that he discussed is Lee Mi Hyun, played by none other than Han Hyo Joo.
In the 20-episode K-drama, the South Korean star takes on the role of a former agent with superhuman abilities. After an incident involving Kim Doo Shik, played by Jo In Sung, Mi Hyun raised her son alone.
In the present time, she is running a restaurant called Namsan Donkatsu and was able to raise her teenage son alone. It was played by Lee Jung Ha, who portrayed high school student Kim Bong Seok.
During the interview cited by a media outlet, Kang Full shared his thoughts about the powerful cast lineup.

The writer admitted that he was impressed by the compelling cast lineup, where a slew of notable and award-winning stars headlined the series.

"Every time the casting board was completed, 'Is this actor really doing it?' It was a lineup that even I couldn't believe," he said.
Expressing how honored he is to be part of such a masterpiece work, Kang Full praised the actors and said, "Veteran superstars performed brilliantly in their respective scenes," adding how the "synergy" was "so great" between the senior and junior stars.
"There was a lot of talk about casting, but the acting was the most important," he furthered.
Joining Han Hyo Joo and Jo In Sung, the "Moving" cast also includes Ryu Seung Ryong, Kim Sung Kyun, Cha Tae Hyun, Ryoo Seung Beom, Go Yoon Jung, Lee Jeong Ha, and Kim Do Yoon.

During the interview, Kang Full revealed that Han Hyo Joo had some doubts about playing Lee Mi Hyun and "was going to turn down the offer."
According to the writer, the actress was hesitant to play the mother role.
"Actress Han Hyo Joo said she wasn't confident enough to play the mother of a high school senior taking the exam," the writer recalled.
Thankfully, the actress officially said yes and gained positive responses for her amazing portrayal of Lee Mi Hyun.
"I am especially grateful to actress Han Hyo Joo," Kang Full said, adding how the character perfectly fits the actress and saying that he was not wrong for selecting Han Hyo Joo.
In addition, Kang Full also shared that he thanked the South Korean star upon watching the edited version of "Moving," showing his deep gratitude to Han Hyo Joo.
