"Youth of May" is a mix of heart-fluttering and heartbreaking romance between Hwang Hee Tae, played by Lee Do Hyun, and Kim Myung Hee, portrayed by Go Min Si.

Based on the true story, the KBS2 series dates back to the 1980s, during one of Korea's darkest times, the Gwangju Uprising.

Lee Doo Hyun takes on the role of Seoul National University's top medical student, Hwang Hee Tae, who came from a wealthy family.

He falls in love with the passionate local nurse named Kim Myung Hee, played by Go Min Si.

A year after "Youth of May" aired, Geum Sae Rok is among the lead stars in "The Interest of Love," along with Moon Ga Young and Yoo Yeon Seok.

Interestingly, viewers will get to see her make her K-drama comeback through the upcoming sequel "Soundtrack #2" with "Pachinko" actor Steve Noh.
