MBC Adds More Episodes to 'My Dearest' Part 2
In a report cited by a media outlet, MBC announced that they would officially extend the historical K-drama. With this, "My Dearest," Part 2, will have an additional episode.
"We carefully reviewed the extended broadcast of the much-loved show "My Dearest" and made the final decision to broadcast it for one more episode."
Bound by fate, viewers witnessed how they lost each other but reunited due to unexpecting incidents.
Following the success of season 1, "My Dearest" part 2 returned by sustaining its popularity among viewers. The historical K-drama reclaimed its position as the most-watched series in its time slot.
Since the sequel's third episode, "My Dearest" part 2 has sustained a double-digit rating. On top of that, the show also swept the top spots in the rankings of the most buzzworthy dramas and actors for consecutive weeks.
In addition, Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin's K-drama was selected as "Koreans' Favorite Program" for the month of October, which only shows how viewers were drawn to the story and duo's chemistry.
Other than Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin, "My Dearest" Part 2 lead stars include Lee Hak Joo and Lee Da In, reprising their roles as married couple Nam Yeon Jun and Kyung Eun Ae.
Moreover, Lee Chung Ah, who appeared in the second half of the first season, joined Part 2 as a bounty hunter named Gag Hwa.
"My Dearest" Part 2, airs every Friday and Saturday via MBC, while global viewers can stream it through Viki and Wavve.
