'Captivating the King' Successfully Concludes Season

Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung's historical romance series "Captivating the King" finally ended on a high note on March 3.

The show spanned over 16 episodes which didn't only entertain the viewers but also evoked deep thoughts and emotions.

"Captivating the King" tells the love story of a miserable king and a woman who falls in love with him as she extracts her revenge on his dynasty.

Its final episode recorded an average nationwide score of 7.8%, which is 2.1% higher than the previously recorded rating. It also marked the best personal record for the entire season.

Jo Jung Suk & Shin Se Kyung Express Gratitude To Viewers

In an interview with the production unit of the show, Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung shared their grateful hearts to everyone who supported them throughout the season.

To show their utmost gratitude, the two actors revealed their most memorable moments from the series. Jo Jung Suk chose the reunion of his character and Shin Se Kyung's character.

"In the finale, Lee In and Kang Hee Soo reunited after nine long months," the actor shared. "The scene where they meet captured the beauty of their love despite the cold wind blowing during filming."

Meanwhile, Shin Se Kyung chose her character's return to the palace after hiding for years. According to her, the scene built up the most climactic moments in the show.

"Not only did it open doors for truths, it also ignited the deep feelings between our characters. It's so memorable for me," Shin Se Kyung said.
