Actor Lee Min Ho is categorized as a special entry subject in Shanghai airport.
Lee Min Ho, who recently received a record breaking amount of 530,000 questions on his Wei Pang Tan Interview on Sohu's Weibo and whose live press conference resulted in over three million people online to watch it, surprised China once again.
Lee Min Ho, after his visit to Shanghai, visited the airport in Shanghai to move to Beijing around 8 in the morning on Saturday, December 21, 2013. Although it was early in the morning, the fans and citizens arrived at the airport to see Lee Min Ho, resulting in all of the airport agents to serve order of protection. According to Lee Min Ho's agency StarHaus Entertainment on Sunday December 22, 2013, Lee Min Ho and the agents kept moving and stopping because of the number of people surrounding them. Eventually, the barricade broke down and a fan fell down.
Lee Min Ho stopped moving and helped the fan stand up. The fans who saw Lee Min Ho help the fan stand up spread his pictures on social media, and are complimenting that "This is the mannerism of the Korean super star." At Beijing airport, thousands of fans have gathered to see Lee Min Ho. In order to prevent any accidents, the airport categorized Lee Min Ho as a special entry subject instead of the general entry subject, and asked him to use the VIP route. Lee Min Ho's agency StarHaus Entertainment said on this, "Although we appreciate the love of the fans, there could have been a dangerous incident when a lot of people were gathered together. In order to prevent an accident, he accepted the special entery."
Lee Min Ho tweeted on his official Twitter account, "I arrived to Beijing well. Although I could not say hi to you at the airport, we need to think about everybody's safety! Thank you for coming out to the airport."
Meanwhile, Lee Min Ho was invited to the Baidu Fei Dian Awards in China, as the only international, non Chinese actor.
