"Queen of Tears" broke another record after it surpassed 1 billion views, and became the first-ever K-drama to hit this milestone in tvN's history.

'Queen of Tears' Hits 1 Billion Views, Becomes First K-Drama in tvN History To Do So

Kim Ji Won and Kim Soo Hyun's romantic series "Queen of Tears" continues to accumulate successes. Ahead of its seventh-week broadcast, the drama once again recorded a new achievement.

On April 19, "Queen of Tears" not only achieved the highest number of weekly video views for a series in tvN's history with 188 million views in one week (from April 8 to 15), but also accumulated 1 billion video views.

This means it's the first-ever K-drama to hit such huge views in tvN's history.

This gathered data is based on paid platforms integrating cable, IPTV, and satellite. Nielsen Korea added that "Queen of Tears" has broken its own viewership ratings for six consecutive weeks.

In particular, the series rose to an average rating of 20.7 percent last week among households nationwide, ranking second in tvN's all-time viewership ratings after "Crash Landing on You."

Due to the drama's compelling narrative and exciting plot, expectations are high for "Queen of Tears," which only has two weeks left until the finale.
