Kim Kap Soo Sends Personal Message to Kim Soo Hyun After 'Queen of Tears' Episode 1 Aired
Before the finale of "Queen of Tears," one of the drama's actors, Kim Kap Soo participated in an interview where he expressed his thoughts about the popular drama. He also applauded the series' lead stars Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won.
In the Netflix series, Kim Kap Soo played the role of Hong Man Dae, the chairman of the Queens Group. To recall, he faced a lingering death in the drama.
According to him, viewers were upset when he didn't die and added, "Now, people only feel happy when I say I'm going to die. A strange situation happened."
As the interview went on, the veteran actor gave compliments to his juniors with whom he collaborated in the series.
In particular, confessed that he sent a personal message to Kim Soo Hyun, praising him after the first episode of the drama was released.
"I messaged him and said, 'Soo hyun, you're really great. Among your peers, you're the best."
Kim Kap Soo elaborated that the drama may seem simple, but it's actually a complicated one.

"Even though the drama could be heavy, it was profoundly well-written by the writer, and the actors intertwined it without making it too heavy. From that perspective, I complimented Soo Hyun for his excellence, and I thought that this friend would continue to lead Korean works in the future."
Apart from Kim Soo Hyun, the veteran actor also praised Kim Ji Won, whom he first saw through the 2016 hit drama "Descendants of the Sun."
"At that time, I just thought, 'She's pretty, and acts cleanly.' Then I already worked with her this time, she expressed various emotions. She expressed the sense of responsibility that only Hae In has."
He went on, "I felt grateful for no reason. That this child does well. Through this work, I thought, 'You will also lead Korean works."
Furthermore, catch the finale episodes of "Queen of Tears" this April 27 and 28 on tvN and Netflix. It will be followed by two special episodes containing a question and answer content with the lead stars, which is scheduled to air on May 4 and 5.
