Other than being a K-drama villain, the 44-year-old actor will showcase his kitchen skills as part of KBS2's "New Release Pyeonstorang."
The broadcast network will feature the actor's culinary talent, transforming into a cooking master for a class at the university.

Set to air on June 7, Ryu Soo Young will take on a challenging task by becoming a lecturer for a day at a prestigious institution. According to a report, he aims to introduce to the world the true value of Korea through its amazing cuisines.
The actor flew to San Francisco to participate in the K-Food Conference at the world-renowned Stanford University. Besides lectures, he will showcase hands-on teaching by piquing the interest of participants in the K-food industry.
Meanwhile, the actor, who has received a lot of expectations as a "K-food chef," reportedly spent three months doing recipe research and more in preparation for the broadcast.
As he paved the way for another career path, Ryu Soo Young is looking forward to positive responses from the audience, as they may find joy and satisfaction in creating new experiences.
"I hope foreigners feel that it's easy, and delicious while making Korean food."
Per reports, the dishes included in the cooking class include the famous chicken tteokbokki that Koreans are super enjoying.
Meanwhile, when asked about the unexpected challenges that he encountered, it was finding the raw materials in the U.S. However, other than that, Ryu Soo Young is thrilled to introduce a new side of him through his culinary skills.

Working on his other skills besides acting, Ryu Soo Young revealed that he is gearing up to launch a cookbook.
During his appearance on KBS2's entertainment program "New Release Edition," the actor mentioned that has been getting tons of requests to create a cookbook.
"There are many recipes that are like my own children," he said, adding that what he aims for is for his cookbook to be a "must-read for husbands" who are getting married.
"I want it to be a cookbook that men who are getting married take with them, so I am working hard to prepare it to be helpful."
Meanwhile, Ryu Soo Young is best known for his roles in the 2011 rom-com K-drama "My Princess," followed by the hit family drama "Ojakgyo Family.".
Interestingly, he captivated viewers with his villain role in "Queenmaker," where he played the mayoral candidate Baek Jae Min with fellow lead stars Kim Hee Ae and Moon So Ri.
