Netflix introduces "Hierarchy," a new mind-boggling teen mystery drama that showcases rising stars.

Helmed by "Alchemy of Souls," "Big Mouth," and "Start-Up" director Bae Hyeon Jin, he worked alongside screenwriter Chu Hye Mi of "About Time" to create an interesting K-drama that focuses on a murder-mystery inside a prestigious school in South Korea.

Released on June 7, "Hierarchy" depicts the story of well-known students at Jooshin High School, a famous institution that only caters to kids from wealthy and elite families.

In the drama, Kang Ha (Lee Chae Min from "Crash Course in Romance") becomes the newest transferee at Jooshin High School. He managed to enter the school through a scholarship. However, he has a deeper reason for doing this.

At Jooshin High, he meets heiress Jung Jae Yi (Roh Jeong Eui from "Our Beloved Summer"), who is intertwined with the notorious Kim Ri Ahn (Kim Jae Won from "Stealer").

In "Hierarchy," the drama also welcomes "The Sound of Music" actress Chi Hae Won and Lee Won Jung of "My Perfect Stranger" as lead stars.

'Hierarchy' Episode 1: Who is Kang In Han?

The pilot episode revolved around Kang Ha joining Jooshin High School as a scholar.

The school is divided into the "class" or status of a person. Those who entered through scholarships were treated as commoners, while children from the elite families are like high school royalties.

Amid the social status and hierarchy of the students, Kang Ha seemed bothered about it and would often approach students like Kim Ri An.

Things changed when he unexpectedly met the queen bee, Jung Jae I, who returned to Korea after 3 months of living radio silent in the United States.

It was during a family gathering that Jae I's father was pressuring her to be at her best and work on her image.

At the time, Kang Ha was working as a part-timer, playing piano during the gathering.

In the next scene, Jung Jae I was reunited with her friends, including her ex-boyfriend Ryan. After winning the drag race game, Jae I wanted to officially break up with Ryan but did not reveal the reason behind it.

However, in the last scene, it featured why Kang Ha entered the school, which was to get revenge for his brother Kang In Han, who mysteriously died while at the university.

'Hierarchy' Episode 2: Jung Jae I Becomes Kang Ha's Savior

The second episode highlighted the behavior of the students towards Kang Ha, especially Kim Ri An. Being one of the elite students, he treated people below him unfairly.

While he was trying to win back Jung Jae I, she and Kang Ha were getting close.

During a party, he accidentally had a drink spiked with drugs and became unconscious, but thankfully, he managed to make it through the night.

However, when he joined Truth or Dare, he was instructed to passionately kiss a girl whom he liked and ended up kissing Jung Jae I in front of Kim Ri An.

Although it was not his intention to get close with her, they ended up pissing Kim Ri An with their "friendship."

Interestingly, one of the highlights of Episode 2 was Jung Jae I's secret, which involved Kang In Ha. It was after she found out that she was pregnant and In Ha promised to help her.
