Lee Geon (Suho) finally made his way to the palace with his father Hae Jong (Jeon Jin Oh) and faced their enemies in "Missing Crown Prince" episode 17.

Lee Geon had a tearful conversation with his father Hae Jong who miraculously returned to his conscious state thanks to Choi Myung Yoon (Hong Ye Ji). He asked his father to treat her kindly even though she was the daughter of their enemy, Choi Sang Rok, to which Hae Jong agreed.

Hae Jong ordered the two not to tell Prince Doseong and Jung Jeon that he was awake already to capture Min Soo Ryeon and Choi Sang Rok. Lee Geon then joined hands with Chak Ho Gun to restore his power in the palace. 

Despite Hae Jong's physical condition weakening, Lee Geon, Choi Myung Yoon, and their friends went to meet Chak Ho and took Hae Jong's tip and topknot to be used as evidence.

At that time, Choi Sang Rok sent a secret message to Chak Ho's army in the name of Queen Min, and Lee Geon was threatened by the army, who did not know that Hae Jong was finally awake. 

At that time Hae Jong appeared and saved Lee Geon. He earned cheers from Chak Ho Gun.

Afterward, Lee Geon and Myung Yoon set out to find the criminal who killed his maternal grandfather and their backers. The two disguised themselves as a gisaeng and a musician. When Myung Yoon already mesmerized the suspects and provoked them, the suspects admitted that they killed Captain Moon and confessed that Han Seong Pan and Yoon Jeong Dae had ordered them. 

Yoon Jeong Dae was arrested and confessed that Councilor Yoon I Gyeom was trying to kill Hae Jong through King Sang Gung, which angered Lee Geon.

Meanwhile, a fierce division broke out among the villains Min Soo Ryeon, Choi Sang Rok, Yoon I Gyeom, and Yoon Jeong Dae leading to self-destruction. Soo Ryeon and Sang Rok learned that I Gyeom was trying to kill Hae Jong and were convinced that they might be the next.

Sang Rok sent a message to Chak Ho Gun and cornered Yoon I Gyeom. 

The assassination failed and I Gyeom beat his daughter. He visited Soo Ryeon and caused a riot. They threatened each other, signaling a betrayal. 

Before the episode ended, Min Soo Ryeon revealed Yoon I Gyeom's attempt to kill King Hae Jong and was about to call the royal palace to conduct a full-scale interrogation, the soldiers who had been ordered by I Gyeon shocked everyone by revealing Choi Sang Rok as a traitor. 

Moreover, Sang Rok who was just smiling with remorse shouted for Chak Ho Gun, and surprisingly, Lee Geon and Hae Jong appeared majestically, shocking Soo Ryeon, Sang Rok, I Gyeom, and Jeong Dae.
