Kim Do Hoon Explains Why He Protected Hyeri Over aespa Karina: Brotherly Love?

-Seoul, June 19, 2024 - On the latest episode of the popular YouTube show 'Salon Drip 2', actor Kim Do Hoon and Hyeri from the renowned K-pop group Girl's Day showcased their heartwarming brother-sister-like relationship, leaving fans and viewers delighted.

The duo appeared on the show to promote their involvement in Netflix's original series 'Agents of Mystery', where they join a diverse cast in unraveling supernatural enigmas.

During their guest appearance, Kim Do Hoon shared his first impressions of Hyeri upon meeting her for the show.

"She was a lot prettier in person. And I was surprised by how tall she was compared to my expectations,"

However, the camaraderie between the two stars goes deeper than surface impressions.

Kim Do Hoon playfully revealed Hyeri's mischievous side, recounting instances where she would tease and prank him on set. 

"I was expecting Hyeri to be all sweet and friendly, but it turned out that she also likes pulling pranks and teasing. For instance, if you're unhappy with how you did on the show that day, you might keep it to yourself. But Hyeri kept asking me, 'What have you done today to contribute to the show?', comparing her and my involvement."

The playful banter continued as they discussed their experiences filming 'Agents of Mystery'. Kim Do Hoon disclosed how Hyeri's teasing actually helped forge a strong bond between them.

"Having someone like her around made me feel comfortable. Her playful antics brought us closer quickly," he admitted, with Hyeri nodding in agreement.

One memorable exchange on the show involved comedian Jang Do-yeon questioning Kim Do Hoon about an incident where he allegedly offered his hand to Hyeri but not to another cast member, KARINA.

"I heard that Do Hoon offered his hand to Hyeri, but not to KARINA, while you guys had to get up on a high platform during the shooting. Is that true?"

Kim Do Hoon clarified with a smile.

"Hyeri seems like the type who might need a bit more protection. She's like 'Geum Jan-di' from 'Boys Over Flowers'. She makes me want to look out for her,"

The affectionate dynamic between Kim Do Hoon and Hyeri stems from a genuine admiration and respect for each other.

Kim Do Hoon, who confessed to always wanting an older sister, expressed, "When I'm with Hyeri, I feel like I have that older sister I've always wished for. Her teasing never bothers me; in fact, I appreciate her playful spirit."

As the episode concluded, both stars expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to work together on 'Agents of Mystery' and hinted at more surprises in store for their fans.
