Lee Je Hoon's agency made sudden changes regarding the upcoming events of his movie "Escape."

Returning to the big screen, the versatile star plays a challenging role as a North Korean soldier, alongside the equally talented Goo Kyo Hwan.

With hopes of meeting more fans, Lee Je Hoon's agency scheduled a fun-filled event for his supporters.

However, despite the excitement to see their fans, COMPANY ON confirmed that they will be halting the coffee truck event scheduled today, July 1.

Lee Je Hoon's Coffee Truck Event for 'Escape' Gets Cancelled

According to a report, Lee Je Hoon's agency announced the cancellation of the coffee truck event to promote the movie "Escape."

According to COMPANY ON, the cancellation was inevitable, and they apologized for the short notice.

The sudden change comes after an accident that took place at Exit 7 of City Hall Station in Seoul, where the event is set to take place.

Per reports, an accident was recorded on the night of July 1 after a car crashed into a sidewalk near Exit 7, which resulted in a large-scale casualty.

Unfortunately, nine pedestrians died and four were injured due to the accident.

Meanwhile, the driver who caused the reverse driving accident claimed that the car suddenly accelerated.

In a separate report, Plus M Entertainment, the distributor of Lee Je Hoon's movie "Escape,officially confirmed the cancellation through their account.

"The 'Escape' coffee truck event scheduled for today (the 2nd) has inevitably been canceled. We ask for the generous understanding of those who had planned to attend."

As for the movie officials, they have yet to confirm whether to reschedule or not the coffee truck event," but as of now, "nothing has been decided."

"We suddenly decided to cancel the event as we judged that it was not an appropriate time to hold the event," the officials added.

Lee Je Hoon Transforms Into North Korean Soldier in 'Escape'

Returning to the big screen after 4 years, Lee Je Hoon headlines the action movie "Escape," where he plays North Korean Sergeant Kyu Nam.

With his years as a soldier, he decides to escape the country and move to Korea through the DMZ.

However, he got caught by State Security Department Major Hyun Sang (Goo Kyo Hwan), who turned out to be someone he knew from his hometown.

Instead of being labeled as a defector, Hyun Sang turned Kyu Nam's life around by making him a hero.

The versatile stars are joined by Hong Xa Bin, while "Escape" also showcases the special appearances of Song Kang and Esom, who have worked with Lee Je Hoon in "Taxi Driver."

Amid this, "Escape" is scheduled to hit theaters on July 3.
