Seoul, July 10, 2024 - Posts from several staff members of tvN's hit drama "Queen of Tears" have ignited a frenzy on social media today.

The production team members took to Instagram Stories to showcase their rewards received from the drama's production company, sparking widespread interest among fans.

According to the posts, staff members of "Queen of Tears" were gifted 1 million won worth of department store gift certificates.

These certificates can be redeemed at the very same department stores that served as backgrounds in various scenes throughout the series.

"Queen of Tears," which concluded its run in April, has left a lasting impression on viewers. Achieving a remarkable 24.85% viewer rating for its final episode, it stands as the highest-rated drama in tvN's history.

Notably, it also made history as the first drama among Netflix-TV series of the same broadcasting time to consistently rank in the Top 10 non-English series globally throughout its broadcast.

Fans of the drama have been vocal about their excitement regarding the staff's rewards. On social media platforms and online communities, they expressed sentiments such as,

"This gift is better than a reward vacation," and "It feels like the drama's world continues with these gifts."

Many enthusiasts have even pledged to re-watch the series in light of the recent developments.

Earlier this month, the K-content brand Withmu further capitalized on the drama's popularity by hosting a successful "Queen of Tears" pop-up store event.

At the event, fans had the opportunity to purchase merchandise inspired by key props from the series, including the iconic green umbrella and the heartfelt diary.
