Hong Kong actor Bosco Wong sparked controversy when a video surfaced of him raising his voice at a waitress in a restaurant in Malaysia. However, it was disclosed later that the whole incident was planned as a publicity stunt.
In the video clip which garnered over a million views, you can see Wong getting frustrated and slamming his hand on the table while insisting on speaking to the manager because he received stir-fried beef noodles initially and then was unexpectedly served nasi lemak with peanuts, which led to another outburst from him.
The video caused a stir in the media as many people were upset by Wong's actions depicted in it. Others were also let down by what they saw him do in the video clip, which was shared extensively online recently.
It was eventually revealed, according to the Star, that the whole situation was orchestrated to generate buzz for Wong's gangster movie called "The Unwavering Brotherhood."

The movie's distributor in Malaysia, Mega Films Distribution, addressed the backlash from the media by explaining that Wong's behaviors were all part of a planned act for the film.
"We are grateful to the supporters who stand up for what's right. Bosco Wong sets an example as the lead actor in The Unwavering Brotherhood and has no plans to intimidate anyone, " stated Mega Films Distribution.
The explanation hasn't done much to calm down fans who believe the prank went too far.
However, the event has undeniably drawn attention to Wong's newest movie, which was the desired result.
The Unwavering Brotherhood's upcoming release has everyone talking about how this issue will affect Wong's reputation in the eyes of the public.
