Controversial Actor Exposed for Cheating on Wife, Then Lived in a Mountain with 3 Actresses, Announces Remarriage

Japanese actor Masahiro Higashide recently made headlines for his remarriage to an actress and the exciting news that they are expecting a child together amidst public scrutiny following a previous high-profile affair and divorce.

Higashide asked for some privacy for his wife and mentioned that he prefers limited interviews. "Feel free to interview me. However, I must warn you that I can be quite unpredictable in my responses. But hey! How about we grab a cup of tea instead?," he said.

The actor expressed his enthusiasm for bringing up kids in their secluded mountain village to the Kanto area, where he has been residing since 2022 and acquired a license for hunting.

Higashide's private life came under public attention following his divorce from Ann Watanabe in 2020. She is the daughter of renowned actor Ken Watanabe in Japan's entertainment scene.

Once viewed as an ideal couple in the industry, their split occurred due to Higashide's extramarital affair with actress Erika Karata when she was still a minor. The actress might be recognizable to K-Drama enthusiasts for her role in tVN's 'Arthdal Chronicles.'

The issue tarnished his professional reputation and public perception significantly. Earlier in the year, Higashide received backlash after reports emerged that he had been residing in a mountainous area with three young actresses.
