A flashback from six years ago gives us a glimpse into an emotional reunion between Shin Min Ah's mother and Han Ji Hyun. The mother apologizes for blaming Han Ji Hyun for her loved one's murder. She discloses her illness and tells her she'll forget everything soon. Shin Min Ah's mother also adds that her daughter doesn't know the truth about her father's murder. The horrific murder is the reason Han Ji Hyun is terrified that Shin Min Ah will discover the truth and resent her.

Kim Young Dae searches for Shin Min Ah at the office, but she is taking the day off. Han Ji Hyun ignores Lee Sang Yi's calls. He confides in his secretary, and Han Ji Hyun's family secret is revealed. During this time, they run into a lonely Kim Young Dae. The men work together and are able to locate Han Ji Hyun to insure her safety.

Shin Min Ah's friend meets Han Ji Hyun and tells her that she's keeping her baby. Han Ji Hyun promises to support her. The friend's boyfriend is confronted by an angry ex-girlfriend, planting fear in his heart about the unborn child's future. She believes the child won't be satisfied not knowing their biological father.

Kim Young Dae finally locates Shin Min Ah at her childhood home. Within the last few years, her mother moved there with a belief that it would slow down the negative effects of aging. Kim Young Dae shows her a video of her mom remembering her in the nursing home.

Shin Min Ah's pregnant friend and her boyfriend get a sonogram at the hospital, and he is haunted by his ex's words. They discussed his regrets over accepting fatherhood, which makes her walk away. In the meantime, the main couple is still discussing the past. Kim Young Dae admits he had feelings for Shin Min Ah at their wedding. That was the reason for his initial disappearance. They also couldn't break his promise to her mother. Shin Min Ah is disappointed to learn about everything so late.

While a main couple is away, Han Ji Hyun's father breaks into the home she shares with Shin Min Ah and Kim Young Dae. When Han Ji Hyun doesn't answer Shin Min Ah's calls, they ask Lee Sang Yi to check on her due to their knowledge of her father being released from jail.

Han Ji Hyun's father assaults her, and he demands she tell him her mother's whereabouts. Lee Sang Yi intervenes just in time while she's being choked. Thankfully, the police are called after Lee Sang Yi knocks her father out.

Shin Min Ah hugs Han Ji Hyun after she arrives home. She hits the abusive dad as the police take him away. Han Ji Hyun discovers that Shin Min Ah knew the truth about our family all along but didn't hold it against her. She wanted to cherish those around her after losing her own father.

The second couple share a kiss after Lee Sang Yi confesses his feelings are unchanged for Han Ji Hyun. News about the passing of Shin Min Ah's mother reaches the first couple, and she eventually bawls.
