The upcoming release of Kim So-Yeon's new K-drama "A Virtuous Business" has her in the news.

During the drama's press conference at the Elliena Hotel in Nonhyun-dong, Gangnam, the actress revealed to the media that she and her spouse, Lee Sang-Woo, had gone to a sex toy store to conduct research for her part in the show.

The actress said, "I had expected it to be dark and gloomy, but it was surprisingly pretty, bright, and charmingly decorated. I thought, 'If it's in this kind of atmosphere, I can explain it cheerfully,' so I studied while I was there".

The series is set in 1992 in one of the villages where the words 'sex' and 'adult' were a big taboo to talk about among all members of society. It tells about the four married sisters, the so-called "Bangpan Sisters," who have to start selling adult products after the bankruptcy of their husbands' businesses.

The series covers their independence, growth, and friendship.

Kim plays the role of Jeong-suk, who catches everyone's eye with her beauty. She is reputed to be cautious and passive after marrying her first love.

"I was really surprised when I heard that a drama about the sale of sex toys through salons was being filmed. However, when I read the script, I liked the fact that there were themes of friendship, love, and comedy, so I chose it without hesitation," Kim So-Yeon said.

She added, "A lot of people still call me 'Cheon Seo-Jin' from 'Penthouse' for the drama. After this drama is over, I hope they call me Jeong-Suk."

"I really enjoyed it, and everyone involved in the filming is precious," the actress said, expressing both excitement and nervousness over the impending debut. I sincerely hope you enjoy and watch it a lot."

Kim Sun-Young, Kim Sung-Ryung, and Lee Se-Hee will perform with Kim So-Yeon.

"A Virtuous Business" will premiere on JTBC at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 12
