Song Joong Ki, who has been the subject of swirling rumors about getting married to British actress Katie Louise Saunders lately, has also addressed such speculations that have taken the country by storm, saying he is "tired" of hearing misinformation about them.

Song said in a statement on his fan cafe, "I really didn't care at first. It was just a usual day for us and many were aware indeed, but that wouldn't change that we loved each other that much, would it?

"Then a few false reports became a deluge, and I was genuinely upset. Noting is true except the name of the university she attended!"

Song and Saunders got married in 2023 after dating for two years, and in June of that year, they welcomed their first child.

They met through friends for the first time in 2021. Song was previously married to actress Song Hye-Kyo from 2017 until their divorce in 2019 before she wedded Saunders.

Song continued to emphasize the value of privacy in their shared existence despite reports circulating about Saunders' alleged past, which included an ex-husband and daughter. Katie shared:

"You don't have to be mad at these people. He said: "She's the one that holds me together and keeps me grounded."

To make things more complicated, in July 2024 – several months after work on the series had wrapped – it was announced that Saunders was pregnant with their second child.

But, they didn't share any information about when the baby was born or if it is a boy or girl, calling speculation around that "private."

Song does well to keep their relationship private, so as things still come out, not everything needs to be on blast for Twitter and Instagram when he feels someone has taken a shot at his family.

The actor wrapped up by looking back on the day they signed their marriage documents as a distinctly "weird" but very special, memory-filled experience.
