Actor Song Seung Heon reflected on a time when he posted a photo of his parents on Instagram in an apparent tribute to the parents, but it all quickly turned into a regret.
In a post alongside a photo of his mother and father in their youth, Song wrote, "Dear mother & father, happy to be your son. And be healthy and remain like this together for many more years to come. I love you."
Many people noticed the photo, especially how his father looked, and made comments about how he looked.
But that admiration quickly turned to a little bit of slamming, with some social media users noting that Song's looks weren't necessarily 'the same' as his father's. So, it led the actor to ponder the situation during his latest appearance on the "My Little Old Boy" SBS program.
He added with a laugh that although his dad kept mum, he could tell the old man was also thinking, "You are nothing compared to when I was young."
Song Seung Heon remains a popular figure in the South Korean entertainment industry despite mixed reception. This model and actor started working in 1995 for the fashion brand Storm before moving into acting soon after.
Having spent almost 30 years in the industry, his credits include many television dramas and feature films.
Song is making her return to film with "Hidden Face," which is set to premiere Nov. 20.
Written and directed by Kim Dae-woo Sun-woo, it is a mystery thriller about a woman who locks herself in a room to see if her fiancé truly loves her.
