Actress Seo Hyun Jin has stoked discussion not only for her performance in new Netflix K-drama The Trunk, but also for a scene that reveals part of her spine and neck bones.
The scene sparked speculation over how much weight the actress had lost, with the actress herself responding to such speculation.
Directed by Kim Kyu Tae and based on the novel of the same name by Kim Ryeo Ryeong, "The Trunk" stars Seo Hyun Jin as Noh In Ji, a contract marriage provider, who struggles with her feelings as she collaborates with the music producer Han Jeong Won (Gong Yoo).
Things get absolutely juicier when a trunk is pulled from a lake containing secrets connected to their characters.
Seo Hyun Jin shared via Pop: "I didn't lose weight on purpose for the role, but I did lose about 5 kilos (11 pounds) while filming." "I kind of didn't lose weight for it," she added.
The actress said that visiting her older dog and doing physical activities like kayaking were part of the reason she managed to lose weight.

"When I look at it now, I'm like, 'Wow, I went too far,' she said of her appearance. However, I think it suits the character (as far as I can tell). Now, I think I look better."
The scene, in which Seo exposes what's described as the "cervical spine," has been called visually and emotionally striking by co-star Gong Yoo.
"I wasn't in that scene, but when I went to the set to film mine, I was curious and asked the director to show me," he said via Tenasia interview. "
That scene requires an enormous amount of emotional energy... I thought it was a beautiful and powerful scene."
The Trunk has been notable for its quirky narrativeand powerful performances by its leads.
Following Seo Hyun Jin's depiction of Noh In Ji, the show is likely to become a hot discussion topic for its exploration of love, loss, and inner turmoil.
