Actress Go Hyun Jung has been released from the hospital following major surgery after a health scare landed her in the emergency room just before Christmas.
According to Xports News, the 52-year-old had been in hospital for three weeks, supported by the rest of her family, including her younger brother, who wouldn't leave her side.
The actress was first rushed to the hospital on the day she was supposed to participate in the production conference for the Genie TV original drama "Namib" on December 16.
Go thanked fans for their support in an emotional social media post soon after she was hospitalized.
"Merry Christmas to everyone. In a photo from inside her hospital room, she wrote: "Thanks for all your concern but feeling much better."
Go continued to post updates with her followers after her surgery.
Another photo she posted on January 6 included the caption, "I was extremely sick, but I have now survived major surgery and am feeling much better. I am going to be cautious but also take care of myself."
Go's family was a major support system while she was hospitalized.
She thanked her, saying, "I'm so happy to be discharged. Brother, I'm sorry that I had to make important decisions alone as a guardian whenever I was sick. Thank you and I love you."

Despite this, Go will spend some time recovering before returning to the set to film further episodes of "Namib."
A source from her camp confirmed the show was wrapped without her needing further filming.
Renowned actress Go Hyun Jung is known for her various films and television appearances and recently became the talk of the town as her health problems gained massive attention and concern.
