In an interview that aired on the YouTube channel @zzanbro, actor Lee Yi Kyung dished on the goings-on with his family and love life.

The 35-year-old star spoke of how growing up privileged as the son of a billionaire businessman influenced what he did with his life and who he became romantically involved with.

Lee revealed in a video uploaded on January 20, "I grew up in a wealthy family. My father was the president of L Corporation, and then he became the president of a university. Yes, in fact, I had a comfortable childhood. But my father did not want me to be an actor."

By far, the most jaw-dropping revelations came while he was recounting his experience working on a gay film just after graduating. Lee hid that particular project from his family until his father came across the script at home.

"It included the word 'sex' in the script, so my father said, 'You come straight home now, and I'll pay off the compensation to the producers,'" said Lee.

"And to me, it seemed like an insult. I said, 'Dad, I have served in the military, an adult. Why not ask me why I made this choice before saying that?'"

Alongside the conversation about his career, Lee also reflected on his love life, admitting he wished he had tied the knot earlier. "I wanted to marry all of my girlfriends. I thought I would get married when I was in my 20s. I still didn't know that I would get married when my life is nearing 40. Why didn't I get married yet?" he pondered.

Lee's openness about his past relationships has captured public interest, especially his acknowledgment of actress Jung In-sun, with whom he previously dated. He even mentioned her during an award acceptance speech, highlighting their amicable relationship.
