Ultimate Fighting Championship contender Mark "The Filipino Wrecking Machine" Muñoz still wants to fight Britain's Michael Bisping but will also welcome a showdown against any of the top contenders in the middleweight division. So will a Mark Muñoz vs Bisping fight happen?

Mark Muñoz vs Bisping was supposed to happen last October when the Briton suffered an eye injury that forced him out of the fight and coincidentally forcing the Mark Muñoz vs Bisping fight to be cancelled. Lyoto Machida stepped up to take his place, and Muñoz wound up losing via knockout in the first round.

According to an interview with website MMA Fighting, Muñoz expressed his hopes that he can still take on Bisping even as other fighters have recently taken to calling out the British veteran, who has long been considered one of the top middleweight contenders in the UFC.

"I've always wanted Michael Bisping, not because I have any personal issues or beef with him, but he's always been at the top," Muñoz said. "We were supposed to fight and... I feel we've got unfinished business to take care of."

"I think he's been a top, perennial contender for a long time, and a win over him would definitely get me back in the mix," he added. "So, he's there."

But Muñoz stressed that he will "fight anybody in the top ten."

"For me, I'm a competitor," he said. "I want to get to that top. I want that title shot."

Muñoz was considered to be a potential contender for the middleweight title in 2012 and was even lined up against Chael Sonnen in a title eliminator, but had to pull out of that bout after suffering an injury during training.

Muñoz returned to action in July 2012 but was brutally knocked out by now-champion Chris Weidman, and again suffered an injury during the fight.

He rebounded with a win over Tim Boetsch in July 2013 before losing to Machida.
